Why hypoallergenic nutrition matters.
Food sensitivities are one of the most common reasons owners bring their cat to the vet. Here's what science shows.

What to expect
Allow 14 days for a careful dietary transition
Complete insect-based cat food for adult sterilised cats
-
DAYS 1 – 14
Gradual dietary transition
Cats require a slower transition than dogs. Start with 10–20% IMBY mixed into current food. Increase by ~10% every 2–3 days. If your cat hesitates, stay at the current ratio longer before progressing. Never let a cat go more than 24–48 hours without eating.
-
WEEKS 2 – 4
Digestive adaptation & urinary support begins
Gut microbiome adapts to insect protein. Cranberry begins contributing to normal urinary tract health — especially relevant for sterilised cats who are prone to FLUTD. Stool quality normalises.
-
WEEKS 4 – 8
Coat, skin & vitality improve
Insect protein delivers all essential amino acids including taurine (critical for cats). Vitamin E, zinc and spirulina support coat sheen and skin condition. Algae oil DHA contributes to cognitive and eye health in adult cats.
-
WEEKS 8 – 12+
Long-term joint & urinary health
Glucosamine in the formula contributes to normal joint function — important for ageing sterilised cats prone to weight gain and reduced activity. Novel protein continues to minimise allergenic load. Urinary and coat health maintained.
