Body and Build Icon

Strengthens core & topline

Continuous micro-corrections activate the deep back (like the multifidus) and abdominal muscles, leading to better posture, shock absorption, and reduced injury risk.

Sharpens proprioception & coordination

Trains your horse to “know” where its legs are without looking, making them steadier, safer, and less prone to stumbling.

Supports safe rehabilitation

Ideal for tendon or back issues: reloads muscles gradually without hard shocks and helps prevent re-injury.

Helps mentally relax your horse

Many horses show visible relaxation (licking, chewing, sighing) after just a few minutes, a natural reset for body and mind.

In their words

AnnaDressage rider

“After only 4 weeks, my horse stands much more steadily and feels stronger in his back. I also notice he’s more relaxed after pad sessions.”

Equimove Balance pads are perfect for...

Sport horses

Sport horses

Build strength, stability, and coordination during daily training. By activating the deep core and topline muscles, balance pad work helps improve performance, prevent overload, and reduce the risk of injury in competition horses.
Rehabilitation cases

Rehabilitation cases

Provide a safe, controlled way to restart exercise after tendon, back, or joint problems. The pads gently reload muscles and tissues without shocks, supporting a smoother and safer recovery under veterinary guidance.
Older horses

Older horses

Keep your senior horse comfortable and mobile. The pads promote joint flexibility, stimulate circulation, and offer a calming effect, helping older horses stay supple, relaxed, and active for longer.

The safe choice for lasting results

Some horse pads may be cheaper, but they often deform quickly, lose stability, and become unsafe, meaning less effect and more replacements. Equimove Balance Pads are vet-developed, durable, and provide consistent and, more importantly, safe results.

Frequently asked questions

Yes. The pads are suitable for all hoofed equids, regardless of breed, size, or weight.

Yes. Barefoot horses can use the pads safely, but we recommend filing away sharp hoof edges to avoid cosmetic damage to the foam.

Yes. Shod horses can also use the pads. Just make sure hooves are dry and the pads are placed on a clean, flat surface to prevent slipping.

Always use the pads on a flat, clean, non-slip surface such as a stable aisle, grooming area, or arena with firm footing. Avoid mud, grass, or slippery floors.

That’s normal at first. Keep sessions short, stay calm, and gently guide your horse back on the pads without forcing. Trust and relaxation are more important than standing perfectly still.

For the first sessions, always work with a helper holding the horse on a loose lead rope. Once your horse is calm and familiar with the pads, you can often work alone in a safe environment.

The best time is before riding or lunging. After training they’re less effective, since tired muscles can’t hold posture well.

Yes. Many vets, physiotherapists, and osteopaths integrate balance pad work into rehabilitation and prevention programs. Always consult your treating veterinarian for a tailored plan.

Yes. For horses with existing health issues (tendon, back, joint problems), always check with your veterinarian before starting. Balance pads are often recommended in rehab, but professional guidance ensures safety.

No. The pads are made from high-quality closed-cell EV foam that quickly returns to its original shape, even under repeated load from heavy horses.

Simply rinse with warm water and mild soap. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring powders, which can damage the surface.

Most owners notice changes after 4 weeks of regular use: steadier stance, improved posture, and visible relaxation. Take photos before starting and compare after 4–8 weeks, the difference is motivating!

Equimove Balance Pads are made from durable, horse-safe EV foam designed for daily use. Cheaper TPE foam mats quickly lose shape, show hoof prints after a few sessions, and don’t give consistent feedback. Equimove Pads last up to 10× longer and remain effective.

Yes. The pads are lightweight and portable (236 g each), so you can easily take them to competitions, clinics, or the stable. Just be mindful not to leave them in hot environments like a closed car, trailer, or direct sunlight, as extreme heat can soften or deform the foam.
