How to feed
Feed all three every day, mixed into a small handful of their usual feed.
ESTE Balancer: 250 g a day for a 500 kg horse, one full dosage cup. That is 50 g per 100 kg body weight.
Grow & Glow: 100 ml a day for a 500 kg horse, split over 2 meals. That is 20 ml per 100 kg body weight. Start at 20 ml a day and build up over a week or two.
Guts & Glory: 15 g a day for a 500 kg horse. That is 3 g per 100 kg body weight.

Who is this pack for?

Why ESTE Balancer, and not just more feed?
A thin horse often doesn’t need more feed, but a complete base. ESTE Balancer gives 29.3 g protein plus the vitamins and minerals hay leaves out, in one daily cup for a 500 kg horse, with only 4.2% sugar and 3.5% starch. Grow & Glow then adds the extra calories, and Guts & Glory helps your horse get more out of its feed.
How long does each pack last?
For a 500 kg horse, the small pack lasts about 1 month of ESTE Balancer and the large pack about 2 months. A lighter horse or pony needs less, so the same pack lasts longer. Guts & Glory lasts about as long at 15 g a day. Grow & Glow is dosed by weight and runs out sooner: at about 100 ml a day for a 500 kg horse, 2 L lasts about 20 days and 5 L about 50 days. You can order extra Grow & Glow separately.
Which pack should I choose?
For a 500 kg horse, the small pack holds about 1 month of ESTE Balancer, the large pack about 2 months. Compared with buying the three products separately, the small pack is 5% better value and the large pack 10%. Both come with a free ESTE dosage cup.
How do I start?
Build up slowly over the first week or two. Start Grow & Glow at 20 ml a day, especially if your horse isn’t used to oil in its feed. That gives the gut time to adjust and helps avoid loose manure.
Can I combine Grow & Glow with grain?
Yes. You can add Grow & Glow alongside grain in the ration. Build up the dose slowly if your horse isn’t used to oil in its feed yet.
Can I use Grow & Glow for a horse with Cushing’s disease (PPID)?
Yes. Oil is a useful way to add calories without causing sugar or starch spikes, which can be beneficial for horses with insulin dysregulation. If you’re unsure what’s appropriate for your horse, check with your vet or our support team.
Will Grow & Glow make my horse fresh or hot?
In most cases, no. The energy in Grow & Glow comes from fats, which are typically slow-release, rather than from sugars and starches, which can cause rapid energy peaks.
Do I need to watch selenium?
Yes, when you combine several feeds. Total selenium should stay under 3 mg a day, so check the selenium content of every concentrate and supplement in the ration.
What is a balancer?
A small daily feed that adds the vitamins, minerals and protein building blocks a horse needs on top of grass and hay. You feed a few hundred grams instead of kilos of grain mix, so the ration stays low in sugar. Este Balancer is a pellet: one full dosage cup a day for a 500 kg horse.
My horse still gets a little concentrate. Can I add this?
Yes. Many owners use the balancer to replace that scoop. If you keep some, reduce the balancer by 50 g for every 1 kg of concentrate a day, and talk to your vet about the total ration.
