Quick view
I frequently use Steady&Stable for my chubby and senior patients to support their sugar metabolism and hooves. Particularly in the spring and autumn season, this is strongly advised, as fructan levels can quickly elevate in the grass, resulting in problems such as weight gain and hoof issues.

“Now she's back running with the foals.”
“I have always been somewhat sceptical about supplements, but I have to say this is an incredible difference. My horse, Rosa, has sensitive hooves. I hadn't seen her gallop in years, and now she's back running with the foals.”

More than a single herb
Many supplements for sugar balance rely on one substance, such as magnesium. Steady & Stable combines 10 ingredients that together support sugar metabolism, the liver and blood flow to the hooves.

Typical supplement
How to give it
Per 500 kg per day, 1 scoop mixed into the feed
Pony of 250 kg: ½ scoop (7.5 g)
At least
Long-term use is recommended for sugar-sensitive horses
Build up over 7 days
Starting for the first time, or is your horse fussy about new feed? Build up slowly so it gets used to the taste. Amounts are for a 500 kg horse. A 250 kg pony gets half.
- Days 1-2¼ scoop
- Days 3-4½ scoop
- Days 5-6¾ scoop
- From day 71 full scoop
What to expect
Every horse is different. This is how it goes for most horses.
-
Week 1 Build up slowlyStart with a small amount and work up to the full scoop over 7 days.
-
Weeks 2 to 4 More energyMany owners notice their horse is more alert and lively.
-
Months 1 to 2 Coat and fat padsMany owners see a shinier coat and less fat on the crest and shoulders.
-
Months 6 to 12
HoovesHoof horn grows slowly. A completely new hoof takes 6 to 12 months to grow, so that's when you see the full effect on the hooves.
What customers often ask us
Question not listed? Ask us in the chat or email info@curafyt.com.
Can I combine it with other supplements?
Usually, yes. Not sure? Ask us in the chat at the bottom right or email info@curafyt.com. You can also ask your vet.
Can I give it alongside medication?
We know of no interactions with the medication we hear about most often, such as pergolide, metformin or painkillers. Do let your vet know you're giving Steady & Stable, so they can keep an eye on it too.
My horse has acute hoof problems right now. Can I start straight away?
Call your vet first. They decide on the treatment. Steady & Stable is feed, not a treatment. You can start as soon as your vet agrees, building up slowly over 7 days.
How long can I give Steady & Stable?
Give it for at least 3 months, then review with your vet. Long-term use is recommended for horses with a sensitive sugar metabolism. If your horse is at a good weight and the results are stable, you can often switch to a maintenance dose, for example half a scoop.
I see horsetail in Steady & Stable. Isn't that toxic?
Whether a plant is harmful depends on the species, the preparation and the dose. Most warnings are about marsh horsetail (Equisetum palustre). Steady & Stable contains field horsetail (Equisetum arvense), in a controlled amount that stays well below harmful levels.
Can I combine it with Grow & Glow?
Yes, if your horse isn't overweight. Grow & Glow adds extra calories, so we don't recommend that combination for overweight horses.
Is Steady & Stable suitable for overweight horses?
Yes, that's what it was developed for. It supports sugar and fat metabolism, the liver, blood flow to the hooves and the connective tissue in the hoof.
Can I combine it with chasteberry?
Yes. We know of no interactions between chasteberry (Vitex agnus-castus) and the herbs in Steady & Stable. Chasteberry isn't suitable for pregnant or lactating mares.
Can Steady & Stable help with thrush?
Thrush calls for good hoof hygiene and the right care from your farrier or vet. You can keep giving Steady & Stable alongside that: it supports blood flow to the hooves.
How does Steady & Stable support my horse?
It supports sugar and fat metabolism, liver function, blood flow to the hooves and a natural hormonal balance. Especially in transitional seasons such as spring, when many horses react more sensitively to grass.
Why I formulated this
A horse doesn't tell you when its sugar metabolism is getting out of balance. You only see it in the crest, the coat or the hooves. That's why I formulated Steady & Stable: to give your horse's sugar metabolism the best possible support, before problems show up. A horse with a sensitive sugar metabolism stays that way for life, so it needs support for the long term too.
