Spring and autumn: more sugar in the grass
In spring and autumn, the sugar (fructans) in the grass can rise quickly. For horses that are sensitive to sugar, that puts pressure on two places at once: the hooves and the gut. Here is how it works.
-
1. Grass sugar rises fast
In spring and autumn, fructan levels in the grass can quickly go up.
-
2. The hooves feel it
Horses that are sensitive to sugar can then gain weight and get hoof issues.
-
3. The gut feels it too
More fresh grass is a change in diet, and a sensitive gut can react to diet changes.

What vets, farriers and owners say
BeforeAfterVery good results for Jacky, our older pony that had long-standing loose manure. Very satisfied!on Guts & Glory
Less fat build-up around the tail and crest is clearly noticeable. The horse is also fitter and clearly feels good in his skin.Horse L.Horse owner · December 2024on Steady & Stable Translated from Dutch
I frequently use Steady & Stable for my chubby and senior patients to support their sugar metabolism and hooves. Particularly in the spring and autumn season, this is strongly advised, as fructan levels can quickly elevate in the grass, resulting in problems such as weight gain and hoof issues.
BeforeAfterI have always been somewhat sceptical about supplements, but I have to say this is an incredible difference. … Now she is back running with the foals.on Steady & Stable
Very good product. My mare, who tends to put on weight in spring, didn’t this time, and her hooves look better.ArwenHorse owner · December 2024on Steady & Stable Translated from French
In my practice, I regularly use Steady & Stable for horses with metabolic sensitivity: a tendency to gain weight, difficulty metabolizing sugars, or hoof sensitivity. When integrated into a broader management approach including nutrition and veterinary care, I see very good results in many horses.
BeforeAfterMy mare Tinker suffers a lot from fecal water and benefits greatly from this product. Clean hindquarters!on Guts & Glory
I’ve had several clients with very poor hoof quality. For them, I recommended Steady & Stable. After about five months, the difference is truly remarkable: much stronger hooves that are far less sensitive than before.on Steady & Stable

Frequently asked questions
Not sure the bundle fits your horse? Our vets answer questions every day.
When should I give this bundle?
Especially around the grass seasons in spring and autumn, when the sugar (fructans) in the grass can rise quickly and the diet changes. Give Steady & Stable for at least 3 months, then reassess with your vet. For metabolically sensitive horses, longer-term use is often recommended.
Who is this bundle for?
Horses that need support for a normal sugar metabolism and healthy hooves, and for the stomach and gut at the same time. For example horses that gain weight easily or have sensitive hooves, and also have sensitive digestion or loose manure.
I already feed Steady & Stable. Why the bundle?
Keep your Steady & Stable. Guts & Glory adds daily support for the stomach and gut: 5 probiotic strains, digestive enzymes and support for the gut lining. Make your next order this bundle and get both at up to 10% better value.
Which pack size should I choose?
Set your horse’s weight in the pack selector and each pack shows how many days it lasts for that weight. For a 500 kg horse, the small pack lasts about 1 month and the large pack about 3 months. Compared with buying both separately, the small pack is 5% better value and the large pack 10%.
How long can I give Steady & Stable?
Give it for at least 3 months, then reassess together with your vet. For metabolically sensitive horses (including laminitis-prone breeds), longer-term use is often recommended. Once your horse reaches an ideal weight and you’re seeing stable results, you can typically move to a maintenance dose (for example, half the standard dose).
My horse gets loose manure with feed changes or stress. Can Guts & Glory help?
Guts & Glory supports horses with a sensitive digestive system that react to diet changes and stress, with probiotics, prebiotics and digestive enzymes. If loose manure keeps coming back, always have your vet check your horse.
Is Steady & Stable suitable for overweight horses?
Yes, this is exactly what it was developed for. It supports sugar and fat metabolism by supporting the liver, promotes hoof circulation, and helps the body’s natural detoxification and immune processes.
Can I use these in competition?
Yes. Both Steady & Stable and Guts & Glory are allowed by the FEI at the daily dose.
Can I feed this to a pregnant mare?
Steady & Stable is not recommended during pregnancy. Ask your vet before giving either product to a pregnant mare.
Does Guts & Glory contain gluten?
No. Guts & Glory contains oat meal, and oats are naturally gluten-free. For horses with a gluten intolerance or extreme sensitivity, we still recommend caution: oats are often processed in facilities that also handle wheat or barley, so trace cross-contamination can’t be 100% ruled out.
*Daily amounts and price per day at the full dose of both products for the selected horse weight. Complementary feed, not a medicinal product. To be used in support of, never as a replacement for, veterinary diagnosis and treatment.
