Take your horse's health Seriously

With our Weight Management Bundle

Did you know that 1 in 3 horses are overweight?

Horses that are overweight are not just a matter of appearance. It can have serious consequences for the health and well-being of your buddy. Here are some of the risks associated with overweight.

Poor hoof health

Overweight horses often have impaired sugar metabolism, increasing their risk of hoof problems. The extra weight further exacerbates these issues.

Colic risk

Excess fat can interfere with a horse's internal organs, hindering their function and potentially leading to colic.

Joint problems

Excess weight puts extra pressure on the joints, which can lead to problems and lameness.

Low energy

Obese horses struggle to move and tire quickly, limiting their ability to exercise and enjoy an active life.

"I frequently utilize the Steady&Stable for my overweight patients to support their sugar metabolism and hooves. Particularly in the spring season, this is strongly advised, as fructan levels can quickly elevate in the grass, resulting in problems such as weight gain and hoof issues."
